Jeff Barry is not trustworthy. I voted for him in his primary against Kamkar because he promised to vote against school vouchers. He betrayed the students and teachers of Texas public schools when he bowed to pressure and voted for the school voucher program which takes money from our already underfunded schools. Vote for Karen Reeder for Texas House of Representatives. Republicans have been in charge of our state long enough, they haven't made our lives better.

Abbot and some of his richest backers are pushing school vouchers, and it's going to do horrible things to public school education in this state.

Oddly enough, I'm not saying Jeff Barry isn't qualfied to be a state representative, just that Karen Reeder, as an engineer is also qualified & less likely to bow to the pressure put on her by Gregg Abbott to vote against her constituent's best interests. We need to bring back true bipartisanship by breaking the stranglehold the Republicans have in our state legislature. I fully understand he was pressured to vote the way he did, because Gregg Abbott let him know all his potential bills would be vetoed if he didn't. The bullying by a supermajority in power that kneecaps anyone trying to do the right thing needs to end. Electing more Democrats will actually help Republicans that aren't able to push through legislation that helps their communities. Data centers and big corporations need to be regulated to prevent harm to our environment and power grids. Republicans have been rubber stamping their excesses for too long. The destruction of our wild lands in Big Bend by an unnecessary & costly border wall needs to be countered by our local officials as well, & I haven't seen enough Republicans willing to oppose Trump on that either. That is why I am voting for change, up & down the ticket.
