Teens. A few months ago, Peanut came to me with an apology. He hadn't done anything wrong, he just wanted to get it in before he was a "real teen ager." He included all of the moods, the bad attitudes, and just general snarkiness, and wanted to tell me he, "would still love me, just be patient, and we would get through it." Good thing he did that in advance, because the last couple of days have just about used up all that being sorry. He may have to do a refresh if he plans to survive to see 18.

@Stealth83 : Yes, a little. We have reached the stage that no matter what I tell him, or ask, he has a different way to do it. Notice I did not say better, just different. He is still a really good kid, just trying to make his own choices.

I saw a psychologist compare this age to a 2 year old. Same attitude, (me do it) but bigger choices. Now I can't just pick him up and move him. He will have a few bumps along the way, but we will get through this. Since I had 3 in 4 years, two of them girls, it was high drama for years. This is only one. Yes, I am older, but dementia has not set in yet. We will make it through.
