@Patty18: caterpillar. These ones, while they look scary are harmless and you can pick them up. My daughter loves to play with these and the pretty tent moth caterpillars.

I've been picking up and moving these little guys all over pavements this last week.

@Patty18: so did we! We have a tree swing for our littles and one was on the buckle and we didn't see it. Stung my daughter in the elbow.

played with... Horrible pain if you are bitten... has anyone
else been told this ??? Please check around ... I do not want to be
near them ever again !!!

No. They don't sting and they are not poisonous. However, I would advise anyone to just as well avoid touching and only admire God's creation.

@NJ99221 : Again, I've been moving them out of danger all week. Totally harmless.
