@NannyB: I had made it to class before the bell rang and set my stuff at my desk, I asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom and she said yes. While on my way back from the bathroom the tardy bell rang. The teacher closed the door on me and told me I had to go get a tardy slip from the hall monitors. It was my 3rd which resulted in ISS. I remember being so mad because I had permission from the same lady who closed the door on me.

I went to Dobie high school back in the day and it was a teacher that wanted me to go to the office for it. The period right before her class I worked in the school front office and was around the principals. If they didn't say anything I knew I was OK. Plus, it was barely above my knee and I had a matching suit jacket on. I looked very professional. I think the teacher just had an issue with me. O-well. I was a good. Never got caught smoking in the bathroom, even though I did it.

Talking. Mr. White's science class. There was a group of us talking and he called me by name and told me to get my group quiet. I asked why it was my group as we were all talking. He said if I said one more word, I would get D-hall. I said "Yes sir" and got D-hall.

@NannyB I remember getting caught passing notes during class .. when
caught the note was read aloud... the laughter of the class was
punishment enough !! Did we ever quit passing notes ?? Nope !!!

Let's see.....wearing jeans when pants were not even allowed. Talking in class. Telling a teacher I would rather read than do homework in class. Telling a teacher I thought she was, "stupid and hateful." Have I mentioned enough yet?

@NannyB : I forgot to do my homework in my English class and so when my teacher called on me to talk about the homework, I tried to distract her by asking about her favorite character in the book. When she figured out what I was doing, she let me know about it - full force!
