Brazoria County Releases Sample Ballots Ahead of November Electi

Brazoria County Releases Sample Ballots Ahead of November ElectionBrazoria County is getting ready for the November 3, 2026 General Election, and sample ballots are being made available to help voters prepare. A sample ballot shows exactly what a real ballot will look like, including every race and every candidate's name, but it cannot actually be used to vote. The county posts these ballots by precinct, since different neighborhoods can have different local races on their ballots depending on which city, school district, or water district they live in.This year's election is a big one for Texas voters. It includes the race for governor, where Republican incumbent Greg Abbott will face Democratic nominee Gina Hinojosa, along with other statewide offices and a U.S. Senate seat. Brazoria County voters will also decide several local contests, including county judge and other county positions. Because so many races are on one ballot, checking a sample ballot ahead of time can help voters figure out who and what they will actually be voting on before they get to the polls.Voters who want to look up their own sample ballot can visit the Brazoria County Clerk's elections website and search by their voting precinct, or check the link in the comments. Doing this early gives people time to research candidates, decide how they want to vote on any local propositions, and avoid confusion on election day. Early voting and election day details, including polling locations and hours, are also posted on the same county website as the election gets closer.
