Happy Monday!! We had a great day at the Kids Fish Fest on Saturday at Bass Pro Shops! Thanks for sharing to forum or I may not have known about this event. My son loved it even though we didn't catch anything.

@wondersunny78 : I wish I could point you to a local pond or stream with bluegill or crappie they are extremely easy to catch and kids have a blast catching them.
@wondersunny78 : Yes I highly recommend either the 61st street fishing pier in Galveston or the Galveston fishing pier a little further down. I've also had very good luck at Sea Wolf Park in Galveston. Another inexpensive option for fishing on a boat is on one of the fishing party boats that leave out of Galveston and fish the bay for short periods.
My grand dad taught me to cast in his back yard, then he took me fishing. I haven't been in years. We keep talking about going again, just never get around to it.
