Hello! My husband, daughter, and I just moved here from out of state. We know no one!! We are homeschooling her which also makes it difficult. Where is a great place for us to meet fellow families? We are on the hunt for a great church home but outside of once a week we struggle to find others to engage. Anyone have any recommendations? Are there any fall festivals or trunk or treat things for a 13yr old? We'll take all the recommendations! 😁

HHamland : Welcome! We're glad you're here. May I invite you to Sagemont Church - a very family friendly church with classes and activities for all ages. This Sunday, October 25, will be the Family Fall Night, 5 pm to 7pm - Trunk or Treat, inflatables, givaways, food trucks, etc. Come have fun with us!

HHamland: Hello and welcome, my grandson is in K12. He too is home schooled with some online courses and asynchronous studies. He is enrolled in TOPS. Texas online preparatory school. He loves it. Sometimes engaging with other students is difficult. Church is your best option. Try New Hope, Sagemont and The Church on Masters Road is very good.❤️

HHamland :
Welcome to PDC forum. I have 2 grandsons that are homeschooled. One is 13 and the other one is 16. They enjoy attending lots of activities at Sagemont Church . I'm sure that many churches in the area have similar programs for children as well.

HHamland :
Hello and welcome to Pearland! I agree with the others that church is your best option. They have many activities for the youth that are more than just once a week on Sunday. The West side library also has teen events that she may be interested in.

HHamland: welcome to our Pearland Community. Keep a look out for the events that are listed here. Many times there are things listed for teens to do. Maybe play some sports. Check with your church, they usually have things for teens to help out with.
