Important Message from CenterPoint Energy

During these extreme cold temperatures, help conserve natural gas and ensure that all customers continue to have gas service by reducing your thermostat setting to 60-65 degrees during the day when at home and lower it an additional 5-10 degrees when asleep or away from home.

@Stealth83 : My first thought is a long hot shower, loads and loads of laundry, heat without restrictions. I will do my best to cut back, run things after hours and not be wildly extravagant with my usage, but seriously. I was looking up truck stops where I might get a shower.

We will do our best to help conserve natural gas because we are expecting another hard freeze tonight and who knows who might be without power again. I pray for those impacted by this winter storm.
