It is a fact... everything will soar higher if bad results happen in this election
... even if good results ( HAHAHA ) ..everything will still be raised.. People are
not seeing this... The leaders in office have probably not lived on small
paychecks... or even gone to the grocery...

@NJ99221 : yea i would argue no matter what they will likely go higher. the goose is already cooked once debt to GDP passed a certain point. no politician can make 2+2= 17 no matter what they say. None of them control the central bank truly , no one voted or approved the federal reserve to flood the system with money in may 2020

ALL of then have no clue about making choices at the gas pump or the grocery store.

@NannyB : for sure we should pray but also try and be prepared as possible.

There is a huge issue as to why the problems no resemble the 1940s more than the 1970s. Macro analyst lyn alden can better explain it than me but ultimately it comes down to debt load being much higher than it was in the 70s. On top of that we have a energy shortage issue. They cannot print energy.

@damascus1986 : I cringe when I think about having to negotiate a new power contract next summer. I also need just a few more weeks of mild weather so I can get my last crop of beans in, they can handle some cold, but not a real freeze.

I was reading an article on seniors being priced out of their homes now. Apartment rent is going up, and some of them have lived in the same apartments for years. Waiting times for a subsidized apartment can be years long. Not a good time for a lot of people trying to find a place to live.

@susieq : its definitely going to be tough. Nice it would be a cool post if you share pics of those beans although you may not wanna show off how much food you have when the food shortages hit. ( cringey laugh)

currently watching one of my channels that is talking about the crop yields and how that may effects things. current numbers ( worldwide) look worse than 2012 when we had food riots in multiple places in the world.

We partake in the intermittent fasting, it works and it's amazing. I eat meat maybe 2 times a year, so we don't have that expense. Still the prices of all our needs are so high that I've started buying store brands. There are a few things that I can't Deviate from and go with store brands. We don't eat out anymore. No more day trips for awhile bc of gasoline prices. I've lost about 12k in 2-3 months, in the market, so there's that. Still, I feel rich in a spiritual way. I do agree that our leadership has probably never lived from paycheck to paycheck. They don't have the training to know how the little guy lives. Trying to make it through these times with friends and family of like. Be careful out there.

@damascus1986: I went to Sam's club yesterday to find that the pack of pringles that daughter likes for her lunch box had jumped almost almost $5 higher in price. Definitely had sticker shock.

@MalluGuy: maybe if we say it enough times it will be true. Just keep repeating the lie they will never know. Don't you feel the strength of the economy??

@CjMullen3702: it's a shame and the worst part is most don't expect it to get better. I expect stagflation high inflation and high job losses. Eventually the unemployment brings prices down but it certainly isn't because things got better.....

@damascus1986 : I think the volatility in the market will continue, ripples will remain well after election day. If you are shorting the pops, and buy into FOMO techy stocks, you might get lucky. But any gains on shorts will be quickly eaten up in taxes.

@DNAdiva: for sure they will . Imo 2023 will be worse recession wise we are just seeing the start of sone of the effects of the rate hikes . Doesn't seem like they are done much yet. I'm more of a crypto and metals kinda guy but I've pivoted most out while things were higher. I usually look at assets I buy to be a few years minimum before I cash out. If I buy fear deeper red next year when I'm thinking things get really bad I know could be some time before markets move up. I probably won't be trying to get lucky on much. I've done decent in crypto over the past 5 years but now is not the time to gamble. What I have in it I intend to hold onto for much longer unless there's a crazy silly spike. Even that stuff I have is at a minimum up a 2 or 3x. I'll stack cash and silver in the meantime. Also imo we are entering a commodities super cycle id expect that to pay off in like 10-15 years.

@damascus1986 : for sure, betting on commodities in domestic contracts on rice, soy and corn. Not sure of the buy in process on these, is there a particular fund for these?
