No internet in Pearland!
No internet in Pearland! Well this is fun! I had to drive to Friendswood to call my husband due to the outage. I did stop by Xfinity who said the entire city of Pearland was out and should return sometime this evening. It is also affecting TMobile service. A fiber optic line was cut.

Acg7707: I noticed it around 4pm. Went to Walgreens they were only excepting cash and phone lines were downs I tried calling the Walgreens on Harkey rd. Same mess, it's sad to say that this the prime example of what can happen if and when our governments infrastructure is compromised. This was a reality check for the city. For those who noticed. You can't call, buy or get money from them bank. No gas pumps working , no gas. I have T Mobile and the phone wasn't working properly. You could text but it took forever for the messages to go through and the caller couldn't hear me when I answered my incoming calls.

Txtoast: they did not contact us at all! I had to drive over there earlier today to find out what was going on because the app wouldn't work without the internet. Glad it's finally fixed.
Acg7707 : Mine also came back on a little after 9 PM. Xfinity had sent me a text when it first went out saying it would be back on about 4:30. They sent me three messages within 5 minutes all saying the same thing but then I didn't get any more updates. I would have thought that when it wasn't fixed when expected, they would have sent an update but I didn't get any more messages.
Inb0913 : Quite the interruption and inconvenience. I didn't hear about it, until the PDC posts mentioned the issue.
Xfinity isn't very reliable with communicating status,
tho sign up for their texts anyway, maybe they'll work to improve it.
Glad everyone is finally back on.
