Looking for a dog rescue group to rescue a dog......My coworker just came to me and asked me to help.
Her husband is a supervisor at a Rock Yard (think concrete) off Almeda Genoa and Mykawa.A stray dog - of lab appearance - has shown up there the last week or two - and he wants to see her rescued.
I'm attaching a picture to this post. She looks to be in decent health, although skinny, and he says she has some scrapes and sores on one of her hindquarters (could be from laying on the rocks so much?). Purple ring around her neck looks to be where a collar was at one time?Anyway, they live in North Houston, he's just at the plant down here temporarily. He called every animal rescue he knew where they live in North Houston, and they either never answered or wouldn't call back/help/refer him to local group. They have an elderly dog that the vet recommended against introducing a new dog to (neurological issues in their elder dog would cause high anxiety), or they'd take her themselves.She's used to him now and will come to his truck, he's been feeding/watering her the last few days. But she won't get near enough to him to catch.
I have his contact information and a video of the dog if a local, reputable group/person can rescue her - he'd be glad to help and see she gets care.Anyone?
