If you've got a problem with mosquitoes in your area, there are ways to request help from your county.Brazoria County
The Pearland Mayor Kevin Cole alerted us to this form in Brazoria County that residents can use to request help for spraying property.
The form asks for your location, name and contact information and the time of day when mosquitoes are most active.

In its materials, it notes, however, that it does not provide spraying services. When I go walking in the mornings I put a fabric softener sheet hanging from my clothing I also rub my legs and arms with it first. Seems to do the job.

What bites you, it itches, but you never hear it and never see it? I'm allergic to mosquitoes, their bites welt up for a good couple of hours, but these things just move in, make me itch, and I don't notice until afterwards?

@Blackbird : Good question. I thought they were little tiny mosquitoes. But mosquito bites welt up on me too and whatever these are do not leave a mark. They just itch. I don't know if they are a different breed of mosquito or something else.

This also happens to me a d the fabric softener sheets really help me. Just saying.

@NGM1957 : I really don't know, but it is a concern. I'm a nature lover too.
Workers are always checking the mosquito population and for those that carry
the Zika virus, which can cause human illness.

Thank you for posting this! I just signed up. I have not noticed any trucks this year in our area. Hopefully we will get sprayed now.

@Txtoast : this is good news! I can hardly spend any time outdoors in my yard without being bitten 🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🤔
I do use DEET but the little skeeters just mock me and bite anyway! Vicks behind the knees and in other hot spots seems to help much better

Try using citronella oil in your backyard . Tiki torch or candles.
