National Animal Control Appreciation Week
This week kicks off National Animal Control Appreciation Week. Each year the second full week in April is marked to highlight the dedicated members of animal control agencies nationwide. This week The City of Pearland-Animal Services will be spotlighting members of City of Pearland - Animal Services and the animals they have helped.
The City of Pearland-Animal Services Spotlight is Shelter Attendant Emily Dayton. Emily is a certified Animal Control Officer in addition to her duties as a Shelter Attendant. A touch over a year into her career with City of Pearland - Animal Services and it is clear to all of them that Emily is an invaluable member of their team. She provides medical care to the animals at the shelter, has a passion for wildlife, provides exceptional customer service and is a fantastic teammate.
Emily always makes time to cuddle with the pets while they wait to find their forever homes. Pets like senior pup Remy who had a rough go of things but thanks to Emily and the rest of their team she is once again healthy and ready to love.
Thank you Emily for your compassion, for always being willing to help and for your upbeat, positive energy.
