The Pearland CPA is a FREE, 10-week, community policing initiative aimed at educating the public on the operations of Law Enforcement. The 3 main goals of the program are to allow the citizens of Pearland to meet the men and women who serve them, to provide the Pearland Officers an opportunity to meet and hear from the citizens they serve, and to educate the citizens on the ins and outs of Law Enforcement.
There is a minimum age requirement of 18 (17 with an adult family member).

Topics of instruction vary from class to class but the students generally learn about patrol functions, investigations, traffic stop simulations and building searches. Additionally, the students are afforded opportunities to attend a "ride along" with officers and learn a variety of crime prevention techniques to help reduce the potential of crime in their homes and neighborhoods.
