The Pearland Police Department currently has 176 sworn police positions. The Pearland Police Department offers an extremely competitive compensation package for all positions and jobs. The department has a variety of civilian, non-sworn positions that range from dispatchers to records clerks. For incoming police officers, the department has a variety of divisions and assignments including: Traffic, Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement, K-9s, Criminal investigations Division, Crime Scene Units and Community Outreach. The department will be hiring for multiple position to fill existing openings and expansions into specialized divisions.
The City of Pearland offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for TCOLE-certified officers with at least two years of law enforcement experience. Officers must have an 'Honorable' designation on their F-5 to qualify. Additional rules and qualifications may apply. Contact a recruiter
