We Rise Up for Pearland Parks and Recreation
It's National Park & Recreation Month! All month long Pearland Parks and Recreation will highlight ways in which WE RISE UP for Parks & Recreation! Yesterday they showcased how they RISE UP for Environmental Resilience - They are so proud to be environmental stewards for the City of Pearland, and manage 545 acres of park land and facilities, including green spaces and natural resources for the community.
Join Pearland Parks and Recreation on July 22nd for a Night Hike at Shadow Creek Ranch Nature Trail and celebrate how parks provide vital habitat for wild animals to thrive in an urban environment. Guided Nature Hikes with the DFNC are evening hikes that take place at the Shadow Creek Nature Trail in Pearland. Each hike is tailored to search for different varieties of local nocturnal wildlife like Wild Night Hikes, Owl Prowls, and Bat Walks!
You’ll have an opportunity to learn from their knowledgeable staff about the natural environment and wildlife found at the Shadow Creek Ranch Nature Trail. Small groups of participants will walk the trails with their staff at the lead. Staff will point out interesting features, important habitats, and visiting wildlife during the hike.
