Authorities are still investigating an overnight incident where a suspected robber was shot and killed by an officer at a Pearland restaurant.
According to reports from PPD, on June 15, at approximately 12:28 a.m., Pearland Police were dispatched to a Dairy Queen restaurant located in the 11300 blk of Broadway in Pearland.
The Initial information provided indicated a robbery was in progress. The caller advised a male armed with a gun was inside the store and was holding another employee hostage.
Officers arrived as the suspect was still inside. An officer confronted the armed suspect inside the restaurant, at which time the suspect was shot. The suspect died at the scene.
No officers, employees or civilians were hurt in the incident.
Investigators are on scene conducting the investigation.
