Shadow Creek Sports Complex UpdatePhase 1 construction of the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch is expected to be completed at the end of July. The Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex was one of the many park projects included and approved in the bond election of 2007. The facility, which has a current budget of $10,125,051, will include amenities such as a lighted softball/baseball fields, a soccer field, volleyball courts, parking, trails and a lawn amphitheater.

Construction of the facility has progressed since it began in August 2014. Restroom and concession construction is nearly complete. Millwork, lighting and plumbing fixtures have been installed and painting preparation has begun. Picnic tables have been put in place under the pavilion and progress has been made on the ball fields, with perimeter fencing being installed, bleachers completed, and the construction of dugout fencing and tops having recently started.Fieldwork continues, with fine grading, topsoil and sod placement underway. The installation of playground equipment began earlier this month and remaining equipment and fall surfacing is expected to be completed by the mid July, pending weather.Pavilion construction, field lighting, HVAC installation, excavation of the detention ponds and the installation of a new traffic signal at Trinity Bay and FM 2234 have been completed since construction began in August 2014.More Info
