@Txtoast : Thanks for providing this. I just read your post. There is no way I would leave my dog at home while I leave to warm up at a warming center. My dog warmed me up these past few days. I'm so blessed to have my furry friend around me. He brought me so much joy and warmth during these tough days. Hope you and your family are well.

@Knk : I noticed only a few accepted pets. I'm with you and would never leave my dog behind.
I worked at a big pet store during Rita, 2005, pet owners rushing in to buy crates, which sold out quickly,
Brazoria Co (then) would not let any animals leave the county without being contained.
Once I gave my own dogs crate away I left the store, many people chose to stay home with their pets,I did too.
Message here is to be prepared, have a crate for safe keeping your pet, and acclimate your pet to enjoy
being in it's own space.

@Txtoast : I'm glad you agree with me. We have a crate for our baby but he enjoys staying out of it as much as possible. Lol. He runs around the house like he owns it. He doesn't mind the crate or pet carrier if we need to keep him safe from harm. I always wanted to work at a pet store. I think I would be the best worker if I did because I love loving animals. That would probably be a toughest job for me to leave tho.
