"@Coogs24 : I grew up in Michigan, and opening day they just melt away. The day before, they are right out there, I mean next to I75! My brother in rural Saginaw, MI gets herds of deer and flocks of turkeys in his yard. The all just fade away their respective season...."

"Oh, one summer we went out to Omaha for visit. (I had a strange childhood, don't ask). I spent the afternoon on a float in the pool before Coppertone was well known, and there was an Indian woman in a sari watching her kids, I kid you not. She was horrified, and went and got my mother, I got so burned that afternoon. My takeaway from the whole thing was that poor Indian woman, next to a pool, in traditional dress, in 70's Omaha...."

"Km6464 : I've been there a twice, and haven't seen a gator yet. The deer were all over, though, I love how they know it's not season and they just look at you. We had a few who didn't even want to get out of the road. @Blackbi rd : a close friend has a place on Houston County Lake in Crockett. I've seen as many as 10 deer hanging out on their property like they lived there. When we came in and out of the house it never passed them.
